Future Fresh Genovese Basil Vodka Gimlet
INGREDIENTS
- 1 pack Future Fresh Genovese Basil
- 5 or 6 large basil leaves plus one for garnish
- 1 ounce fresh lime juice
- ½ ounce simple syrup
- 3 ½ ounces vodka
PROCEDURE
- In a metal cocktail shaker place the lemon or lime juice and the basil. Mash the basil leaves thoroughly against the bottom of the shaker with a muddler.,
- Add vodka and simple syrup. Fill with ice cubes to the surface of the liquid. Shake vigorously until the shaker is freezing your hands, perhaps 15 seconds or so.
- Strain into a glass, and garnish with a basil leaf.
- Serve immediately.
